Report incidents, manage their escalation, track investigations and analyze resolutions.
Centralize and Structure Your Incident Database
The Archer Incident Management solution enables your organization to consolidate incident data across business units and locations. This unified approach helps you comply with regulatory requirements for tracking and reporting incidents. Out of the box, the structure of the solution provides a best-practice approach for reporting incidents, managing the investigation process and ensuring appropriate resources are assigned to the resolution of incidents. Because the solution is built on the highly flexible Archer SmartSuite Framework, you can tailor the solution structure to accommodate your organization’s unique incident management processes. Archer provides a user-friendly interface for adding and modifying data-collection fields, customizing workflow processes, generating alert notifications and tailoring the presentation of incident data.Control Access to Sensitive Data
Incident reporting and response tools are effective only if your organization can tightly control access to sensitive information. Archer empowers you to secure incident data down to the individual field level, protecting the identity of the individuals involved and ensuring the integrity of your organization’s confidential information. You can limit incident access to only those individuals directly involved in the investigation and resolution processes. You can also grant managers and executives access to the level of incident data necessary for risk and financial impact assessment.Report and Document Incidents
Archer Incident Management provides an easy-to-use web interface for reporting incidents confidentially. You can also configure the solution to support anonymous incident reporting as recommended by the Public Disclosure Act and required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. End users can report cyber, physical and ethical incidents of any type, including theft, harassment, fraud and phishing. Your personnel can also document individuals involved, including victims, witnesses and subjects, and they can attach photos, files and other types of documents as evidence. Archer’s advanced features streamline the incident reporting process, allowing you to dynamically customize the user interface and data collection process for specific types of incidents. Archer also enables you to integrate data from external sources, such as a call center or intrusion detection service, through the Archer Web Services API.Manage the Investigation Process
Archer’s powerful workflow capabilities enable you to prioritize, assign and track incidents from identification to resolution. For each incident, you can assign a lead investigator and support staff, and you can automatically notify personnel when incidents enter their case management queues. To help your incident response team prioritize its activities, Archer enables you to rate incidents by criticality, financial impact and regulatory significance. You can also link incidents to your response procedures and related events to gain a holistic view of incident impact.Review and Approve Incident Remediation
The Archer Incident Management solution allows you to maintain a detailed incident history and audit trail with the capability to display multiple versions of an incident record throughout the incident lifecycle. By linking incidents to specific remediation procedures, you can track all remediation efforts and approvals within an incident record. You can also document the closing of an incident, including incident post-mortem information.Monitor Incident Status and Impact
With Archer’s powerful searching and reporting capabilities, you can produce rollup reports to track incidents by type, date, person, location, financial impact and other attributes. You can also construct graphical dashboards that provide management with real-time access to current incidents, their resolution status and key metrics. By relating incidents of the same type, you can identify trends and incident relationships, providing the data necessary to ensure that appropriate mitigation and remediation strategies are employed.Ensure Regulatory Compliance
The Archer Incident Management solution supports all certification and accreditation processes required by sections 3505 and 3544 of the Federal Information Security Management Act, as well as the ability to report and manage incidents associated with government facilities and systems. Archer also provides a turnkey solution for compliance with the Whistleblower requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley sections 301 and 302, including all essential data entry interfaces and report generation capabilities.Integrate with Other Archer Solutions
Leveraging the flexible Archer SmartSuite Framework, you can integrate Archer Incident Management with all other Archer solutions, including Policy, Threat, Asset, Risk, Vendor and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Management. For example, you can integrate critical asset intelligence and business-impact metrics with incident reports, facilitating incident prioritization, analysis and response based on the risk or likelihood of impact to the organization. You can also link incidents to the policies, control standards and authoritative sources that have been violated to gain a clearer understanding of compliance issues created by incidents.
