Jon Darbyshire

Founder, President and CEO, Archer Technologies

Jon Darbyshire founded Archer Technologies in 2000 with a vision to create enterprise-wide IT risk and compliance management solutions that would replace traditional manual processes and disparate point solutions. Jon’s vision has evolved into Archer’s award-winning enterprise governance, risk and compliance solutions built on the powerful Archer SmartSuite Framework.

Prior to founding Archer, Jon held senior executive positions within the Security and Risk Management practices of Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse. Jon has more than 20 years of experience in the security, risk and compliance management space.

Executive Vice President of Business Development and Sales, Archer Technologies

Tara Darbyshire has set the strategic direction for all sales programs and business development activities for Archer Technologies since early 2001. Prior to joining Archer, Tara held the positions of Vice President of Sales and Marketing for eSecurityOnline, National Director of Sales for the Information Security practice of Ernst & Young and Senior Sales Manager for MCI Telecommunications.

Tara has more than 15 years of experience in developing sales relationships with Fortune 500 companies and creating and implementing successful sales programs. Tara leads several strategic sales and business development efforts, including Sales training, recruiting and executive-level sales initiatives with clients and partners.

Ben Nye

Managing Director, Bain Capital Ventures

Ben Nye joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2004. His prior roles include Senior Vice President of Veritas Software and COO and CFO of Precise Software Solutions, where he helped build Precise from a private company with $10 million in revenue to a public company with $100 million in revenue prior to its sale to Veritas for $600 million.

Earlier in his career, Ben was a Principal at Allied Capital, a public investment company, and he also worked in the U.S. Treasury Department for Treasury Secretaries Lloyd Bentsen and Robert Rubin, and as a consultant for Mercer Management Consulting. Ben attended Harvard College and Harvard Business School, where he graduated with honors.

Lance Melber

Former CEO, eSmartloan.com

Lance Melber founded eSmartloan.com in 2001. In four years, Lance and his team were able to build the Internet’s premier home equity lender by creating a highly automated, proprietary lending platform along with a first-class consultative sales staff. The company held top honor as the #1 home equity lender on the LendingTree network for three straight years, and in early 2005 after a record sales year of over $1.2 billion in loan volume, eSmartloan.com was sold to Capital One.

Lance’s tenure in the finance and mortgage market spans over 15 years. Before the creation of eSmartloan.com, he was the managing director of Oneloan.com, working for First Horizon National Corp. Lance is also a seasoned technology veteran with more than 25 years of experience. His passion has been in building IT infrastructures and automated processes for various Fortune 500 companies.

Terry Dolce, Vice President of Sales for Archer Technologies

Todd MacLean

Director, Bain Capital Ventures

Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Todd MacLean worked as a Vice President at Summit Partners, making later stage investments in the healthcare, business services and technology industries. Prior to Summit Partners, Todd held business development roles at several private companies, including Synapse Group Inc., currently a $500 million division of Time Warner.
